Short biographical information

Yu Wang is a doctoral student at the Research Group Translations and Transitions at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History. He is also currently working on a doctoral degree in sociology of law, culture and China studies at University of California, San Diego. He is mainly interested in the transformation of the legal system in 20th-century China, its influence on re-regulated family order by the spirit of civil law and the correspondence between Chinese law and Chinese society over the past century.
