Workshop: Introduction to Chinese Legal History

The Max-Planck-Institute invites all interested scholars to an introductory workshop on the research of Chinese Legal History, organized in cooperation with the Institute´s guests Maura Dykstra (Caltech), Wang Zhiqiang (Fudan, Shanghai) and Chiu Pengsheng (Chinese University of Hongkong).

In addition to some introductory talks about the newest developments in the field of Chinese Legal History, the workshop wishes to initiate a dialogue about the perspectives of the pursuit of Chinese Legal History for the research on European Legal History.

The workshop takes place on April 28, 2016 from 11 am to 5 pm at the Max-Planck-Institute for European Legal History in Frankfurt. The workshop will be in English.
