Jan-Henrik Meyer’s research combines an interest in the history, politics and law of European integration with environmental history. This current research project seeks to provide the first transnational history of European Environmental Law from its inception in the early 1970s until the 1990s, when the environment and environmental law became more firmly established within the European Union (EU). Meyer completed his PhD in Modern History at Free University Berlin on the History of the European Public Sphere. He has taught and conducted research at the Universities of Portsmouth, Aarhus, Munich, Trondheim and Copenhagen. Since 1 January, he is holding a Postdoc-Position in Department I (Stefan Vogenauer).
