New databases on the history of Africa, Asia and Latin America are now available

January 09, 2019

The Institute's library now has access to extensive databases with source material on the history of Africa, Asia and Latin America. In addition to various collections on European colonialism in the early 20th century, the MPIeR library also contains, among other things, U.S. State Department documents on the Mexican Revolution of 1917 as well as papers and reports from the British delegations and consulates in China from the 18th to the 20th century.

The databases belong to the "Archives Unbound" collection of the provider "Gale - Cengage Learning". Access to these databases further contributes to the Institute's already extensive electronic resources. The Institute's library is currently the only institution in Germany with access to these digital collections of historical documents.
