For the first time, renowned scholars from the Max Planck Society will offer their thematic perspective on works at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt. On May 6th at noon, Thomas Duve will explain the contemporaneous relevance of five works from the perspective of legal history, among them Vermeer’s The Geographer.
