Equal Opportunities

Equal Opportunities at the MPIeR

The MPIeR relies on outstanding scientific talent and supports its employees regardless of gender, nationality, religion, disabilities, age, cultural background or sexual identity. Our goal is to create an environment in which staff and guests can use and develop their individual abilities. To do so, the MPIeR relies on various measures to foster the compatibility of family life and work while simultaneously promoting career advancement.

The MPG Voluntary Commitment, 2012-2017

After the initial voluntary commitment, which ran from 2006-2010, the Max Planck Society has again committed to raising the proportion of women in higher positions from 2012-2017. Specifically, the goal is to raise proportions of female scientists in W2 and W3 positions as well as in the E13-E15 salary grades of the public service wage agreement (TvÖD) by at least one percentage point per year.
