Max Planck Study Sessions 2017
In 2017 the Max-Planck-Institut für europäische Rechtsgeschichte again invites doctoral students and young researchers to participate in the Study Sessions called “Studientage”. The purpose of the workshop is to offer participants in seminars and working groups the basic tools for beginning research in the archives of the Holy See and of other Roman ecclesiastical institutions as well as to provide elements for a critical interpretation of the sources and their contextualization through the most current literature.
This year the Study Sessions, coordinated by Dr. Benedetta Albani and Prof. Dr. Massimiliano Valente, will concentrate on the Modern Period and focus on the following subject: “Governing the World: Papacy and Roman Curia throughout the centuries. Research Tools for History and History of Law”. The seminar will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 27th to 29th September 2017.
